I saw The Dark Knight for the second time yesterday. There are just so many things that are right with that movie. It wasn't as exhilarating as the first viewing, but it did get even better in a lot of ways. Especially now that I've read so many of the graphic novels that inspired the film, I've noticed so many great nuances.
One of the things that gets better with the second viewing is the character of Harvey Dent. He has such a tortured man. It's really no wonder he went insane. Can you imagine going through the same thing? That Rachel and Harvey scene got even more powerful this time around. I can't imagine that. And then, as a result, one of the final scenes with Gordon's family, Dent, and Batman all together? That is extremely powerful. I was too blown away by other things (namely, Heath Ledger's Joker) when I first saw it to recognize the great emotional elements of the film.
Harvey packs the emotional wallop of TDK. Even though The Joker is heavily featured, this movie is actually the story of Harvey Dent.
And so, I give you part one of a few of the beautiful TDK cast:

On an unrelated note (I'm watching Hannah and her Sisters), I want to like Woody Allen movies, and I kind of do, but what I absolutely cannot get past in any of his films is how impeccably beautiful women are falling in love with neurotic, annoying, small, old, and/or ugly men (often played by Allen himself). This is some kind of odd fantasy element in films that are otherwise incredibly in tune with basic humanity.
