The Ravenclaw match is this weekend, so every moment that I haven't been practising with the team, I've been flying on my own. This new Firebolt handles a little different from my old one, and really different from the Nimbus I've been using, and so I want to be sure I'm comfortable with it by Sunday.
Evan's been playing well, when he hasn't been ignoring the Quaffle to yell at us, and Ron's getting to be dangerous out there. He tried to throw Evan out of the scoring area entirely. I'm a bit worried about Natalie, though. She was doing great in practice before this week, but she's been shaky lately. I think it's just nerves about the first match. She got them a bit last year, too, but she was brilliant when it was actually time to play. So it will probably all be fine, if Evan would just lay off of her for once.
I waited for Susan after her practise, but we didn't get a chance to talk. Our team was about to go on and I don't think she even saw me. Or she might still be mad. I don't know.
I talked with Professor Sprout after Herbology on Monday. She says she can't think of any extra projects for me to take right now, but she'll see what she can come up with. Hopefully she'll have something by class tomorrow morning.
It's getting pretty late, so I'm going to try to get some sleep. I'm not tired, though, and I haven't been needing to sleep much lately anyway. Maybe it's just that I'm nervous about the match, especially now that I have 50 points that I need to make up somehow. But I should probably listen to Hermione and start studying, since I'm going to be up anyway.
