[Enterprise Bridge/Transporter Bay - U.S.S Farragut]

Her first thought was why does this stuff always happen at night? She wasn't even supposed to be on the night shift, had only swapped with the Ensign three hours before out of a lack of anything more pressing to do. Although as that distress signal broke the silence in her ear, almost too faint to discern that it was Pavel's voice coming through the earpiece, Uhura was insanely glad that she was there.

Attacked. Klingons. Shields failing. None of what she was hearing was good, and she struggled to keep calm for Gaila all the while trying to locate a commanding officer. It was no use, and she was the most senior member of staff on the bridge. They weren't far from the Farragut. She commanded the helmsman to get them close enough to beam, not sure how long the Farragut was going to last out against the heavy Klingon fire.

Those damn Klingons. As soon as Uhura had communicated with them and gotten nothing except abuse, no reason why they were destroying a Starfleet vessel, she yanked the earpiece from her ear and chucked it down on the console. Trying to get through to the Captain and First Officer had been fruitless, but she had to do something. Gaila and Pavel were in trouble. Ordering the nearest Ensign to take her place and keep whoever was on the other line talking, Uhura threw caution to the wind and hauled herself down to the transporter. She stopped only long enough to gather a few security Ensigns and relay an order to a passing comms officer to tell the Captain or Spock what was going on and what she was doing, as well as whoever was on tactical to fire if they had a good enough shot. They could deal with her insubordinate behavior when she was back with her friends.

The man in the transporter bay looked as if he wanted to protest, but she silenced him with a particularly angry glare as she strapped the phaser and communicator around her waist.

"You better be good." she pointed out as she readied herself to be beamed over to the Farragut with the other three men and medical Ensign. "Or you better go and get Mr. Scott. Energize."

Thank god for Starfleet vessels. The officer in the transporter had been good, at least good enough to beam them onto the bridge. It was absolute chaos, everywhere she looked. Her immediate thought was Gaila, then Pavel, and she desperately looked around for each of them. "Decks three and nine." she told the rest of her team, still trying to look through the chaos for either of her friends. "Gaila said you can get to decks three and nine. And medical. You should be able to get through to the Enterprise, beam as many across as you can and keep going. As soon as you hear my command, go back. With or without me. Alright?"

She wasn't an Engineer but she could tell the ship wasn't in great shape. The officers nodded and rushed off the bridge, leaving Uhura to hope that they would be able to get as many people out as possible before the Klingons destroyed what was left of the ship.

(OOC: We can take this from after Uhura has finished trying to talk with the Klingon, and you can reply whenever and in whatever format you like only_sewenteen!)
