I dated someone older than me when I was 19 and I went through the same thing. Fuck them! Suck it up and take the abuse in front of em, because if you really plan on being with him for a long time they will eventually get over it. If you act like a prick, they will think they're justified in saying you're immature. And if he is any kind of decent boyfriend he will tell them to shut the fuck up.

yeah the reason shy it is so hard is cuz Ryan is known for not dating, mainly cuz he has a kid and doesnt like to bring mzny people into josh's life. So when they all found out he had a bf they were shocked and even more shocked that his bf were only 18. But I have met some of his friends who were in their thirties and they took me to the side and said they enjoyed my company more than most guys that people brought around. Ryan has already told me not to care what his friends think. It's still just a little hard.

Eh it's not like that. Josh is a very smart kid by what I make of the stories. I don't want to be his second dad. The last thing I'd want is for him to become anyways emotionally attached because you never know what may happen between me and Ryan. I've already heard of one old bf that dated Ryan for two years and the guy broke up with Ryan but was in the end regretful and very torn up over the Ryan and Josh. I dont wanna be that guy....

Isn't it fun to feel so great? I am in the same position right now. I am 18, my boyfriend is almost 30- with two children ages 10 and 5. It is hard because people don't understand that age doesn't always matter. It's like I feel weird when I think that my boyfriend was in 6th grade when I was born, but when I am with him, it doesn't matter. Hang in there.

the best advice I can give is dow hat you can but when you feel the waters are getting too deep take a step back to where ur toes can still touch and figure out, "Is it worth the swim and what's the worst that can happen if I run out of energy to stay afloat?" Good luck to you Alyssa cuz it's hard. Last time I dated aguy with a kid was over half a year ago. The kid was 7. The kid was a big hassle but didn't live with his dad. Sometimes its easier than people think. Sometimes though its easier to think its easier than it is.
