I finally get to go back to Kennewick tomorrow to go do some long-range shooting with my rifles. Out here on the West side of the mountains, you're luck to find a place that gets out to 150 yards (safely)... and out there, we can get 450 yard or more, easily

Especially do not ignore knee problems. We're talking about a joint that from an evolutionary standpoint has several hundred thousand years to rebuild itself to actually hold us upright. In the meantime, we get to deal with the modern medical system to try and get it fixed.
Hint: Workout. Slowly and carefully. Bodyweight exercises are your friend.

And, ironically enough, today I started doing some very gentle half-squats and stair exercises/stretches.
Honestly, it doesn't really hurt much anymore (other than the occasional ache), rather, it is stiff from the lack of movement and likely the new growth tissue from healing.
