To anyone who makes colorbars: how can you demand credit when it's already in the html code you provide and links back to your journal?

Good question. Maybe they mean not to tamper with the code, claim the colorbar as their own, etc?

That could be it. But I always get the feeling some of them want us to put "Made by......" as well. LOL, I'm just feeling irritable lately and the littlest things get to me. I've never been one to see the big deal about crediting, even when I was making icons, but I would definitely never steal one and claim as my own.

Yeah see I've never been one to demand credit for my icons unless maybe it's something where I actually took the photograph which is very rare. These people who demand credit for putting text on a picture of Johnny Depp (that they don't own the copyright for) get on my nerves. =P

Well, a person could very easily save the image, upload to their own server, and use it without linking back.. using the maker's code isn't usually a 'must', so I guess that's what it must mean.

That's true....didn't really think about that, but I just realized that a lot of them are with icon posts too so maybe the that applies more to the icons? :)
