I actually have an entire story for this AU almost all planned out. I just don't know if I'll ever write it, because I don't want to write the battles and stuff, but I don't know how to avoid it...
It features all the nations, and seems like it might be a real mission to write - but maybe I can put up a poll and ask people if they want to read more?

Well, if I do the AU in full, this chapter would end up very differntly.
I had to turn this into a one shot for the Olympics event, so Alfred had to sort of admit to his feelings in the end to give it a conclusion.
In the /actual/ story, he would be far mor deliberately oblivious/in denial about his feelings for Arthur. The ENTIRE way through the story. Lots ot sexual tension, and no getting anything done about it. That's just how I roll X3

I haven'te watched Pokemon in ages but this is so brilliant! I love how it's Alfred being oblivious and in denial and how he bought red roses for Arthur! That was so cute.

I haven't watched it in donkeys either. My little brother used to, so I saw a few episodes here and there of newer seasons, but I'm more familiar with the original series. I still play the games sometimes. But I had to pull that whole Pokemon Contest thing out of my arse because I really don't know how it would work in the real world - in the game you just make them dance about retardedly and put on aprons and chef hats and stuff, and I didn't think Arthur would be into that...

I know! I somehow hate joining contests in the Pokemon game too because of estimating attacks that are loved by the judges and the audience, plus that bizarre I-never-get-the-right-blend Pokeblocks! GAAAHHH IT REALLY HURTS /sobs

I'm more in Alfred here, battling the Pokemon Master and being the strongest! XDDD

And the contests are different in each game, too. I never played the 3rd generation - with the Pokeblocks. In 4th you have the attacks and then dance and dress up. And in 5th generation it's dancing WHILE dressing up, but no attacks or anything cool like that.
I watched one episode of a recent series where they had a Pokemon contest, and it was vaguely like this - making an attack look creative. IF I remember rightly, which I'm not sure I do. So pOkemon contests in this AU (or this one shot, at least) are about making offensive/defenseive attacks pretty. Just because...
