Fangirl this is beautiful! I love your approach to my Heroes prompt, and both Alfred and Arthur are well in-character. Alfred the dreamer-type, Arthur the more grounded type, yet they belong together and need each other and will do anything for one another ;u;

I'm so glad you like it! I hope it was okay for me to go the route of the moral "heroes" and that you weren't expecting either of them to be warrior heroes in a Spades battle or something.

I'm sorry it's a bit late - I had it ready in time for Christmas Day, but we set off earlier than I expected to visit family for 2 days, and I didn't get a chance to post the fic before I left.

Sorry this reply is late, but I'm catching up on all the secret santa exchange fics (and art). What a sweet and hopeful fic this is! I like how you used the song lyrics in their dialogue, and how they made sense there. Your Alfred is perfectly idealistic and bullheaded enough to be that change, too. :)
