"Duh duh duh duh duh duh daaa..." Crichton 'sang', loudly and off-key as he fiddled with something in his module, then detatched it and threw it out of the ship.

It hit the ground with a clatter, and in between that, and a pause for breath in his humming, he could hear Aeryn's footsteps. "Hey." He offered a wave, not really looking up.

That ridiculous half-wave. It was probably fortunate he couldn't see her expression. She bent momentarily, scooping up the discarded piece of 'ship' and waited for him to direct his attention to the appropriate place.

He continued to work for a moment, then realised she wasn't really talking to him. So he set the tool down and looked up at her. "Hey."

She didn't respond with the human greeting. Deflecting the greeting back at him would be saying she didn't want to talk and they had to.

Ironic, Aeryn thought. How she'd rather not be having this conversation. Especially not when she was still irritated about the Nebari incident. She turned the scrap in her hands, seemingly examining it.

"We need to talk." Never asked, only demanded.
