 For breakfast this week I've been having steel cut oats.  Before I go to bed I throw 1/2 a cup of steel cut oats, a pinch of salt and 2 cups of water into our little crock pot.  It the morning it's oatmeal, from whole, unadulterated oats.  Last night I found in our pantry a bag of dried, unsweetened, UNSULFITED pears.  I cut up a bunch and threw ( Read more... )

So we are in the process of getting everyone over to Windows 7 at work.  Currently that means new machines we deploy have windows 7 instead of XP.  We have new people starting and that means new laptops.  The "new" laptop we've been using isn't available for purchase anymore so we are going with it's latest iteration ( Read more... )

The IRS audited our return from the year we refinanced our house.  The Interest reported to the IRS was grossly incorrect.  These were all numbers put together by HR Block.  The difference is almost 2000 in tax we have to pay, but wait...  We got the extra protection when we had HR Block do our return because I was maintaining a home office and ( Read more... )

Last night, Sue, Peter, Dave, Maureen, Jamal, Nikki, Paige, Janine and I (and a bunch of people we didn't know) went on the Kuku Kanuku.  It's a big crazy party bus that takes you bar hopping through some local bars.  The bus picks you up at your resort/timeshare and goes to the other time shares to get everyone else on your bus.  You get a maraca ( Read more... )

Sunday we get to the resort around 3 and our room isn't ready yet so hung at the bar and watched the end of the Pats game and took full advantage of Happy Hour.  We met up with Sue and Peter and two of their friends down here Jamal and Nikki.  Awesome people.
