I just found out that one of the guys I was friends with in middle and high school who had a crush on me and who I made out with like, once? Twice even? Has been showing his art at his own shows... and it's included me. ME. Fuckin' pictures he's painted of me, without me knowing

The whole thing with the pictures of you was grody enough when I thought he had just painted them. But now that I know that he displayed them, too, without your knowledge?
That just takes it to another level. And there is nastiness on that level. Ick!

If it were, say, you and me. And you painted a picture of me as, for example, the patron saint of pink purses. And you wanted it to be a surprise. That would be cool.
Or, if it was someone you had a longtime, very comfortable friendship with -- it might be annoying, but it wouldn't be creepy.
It's the context. This was a guy who was very explicit toward you in an unwelcome way, and he's been a little bit...stuck on you in an unhealthy way. In that context, it's gag-worthy that he's been painting you and putting you in art shows.
