I still have a fairly active friends list on LJ .. some days it's a little quieter than others, but I'm still enjoying the interaction here.

I use FB to keep up with my kids, their friends, local friends and family, but LJ and my contacts on LJ are kept on LJ.

Ah...well I can understand that. I merged everyone on FB a long time ago, and I do find that because all my family and coworkers etc are on FB, it means things stay very superficial.

I still read livejournal. I just haven't been writing much lately.

Yep, I only come to LJ to check friends' posts, and the few times when I have something "real" to talk about. Keeping in touch with family and friends at Facebook is easier... but I'm not going to pour my heart out where my in-laws and old school friends can see it. :D

And I won't even touch Twitter -- I have no interest in it. Course, I had no interest in Facebook, either, but that's hardly the point! LOL

That is the drawback of Facebook, it's fun but very superficial. But I've gotten lazy about journalling.

Yep, exactly! On the plus side, it gives me a place to put up all the superficial crap that I used to post about on here, and it's much easier for everyone involved. Works for me.

I would say I've gotten lazy about it, too; however, it's half laziness and half I'm-sick-of-whining-about-every-little-thing-so-I'm-sure-all-my-friends-are-sick-of-hearing-it-too-ness. :D

I've been feeling that way too, where is everybody? I do a bit of facebook because everyone I know in RL in there, but this could be so much better.

Facebook has made me lazy. I rarely write a real journal entry anymore.
