My only advice to you is that if you find it at all possible, I think you should tough it out these last few months and just get your diploma. That will look so much better on job apps versus a GED. Guaranteed, if a job came down to you, with a GED, and someone else with a diploma, they'd probably take the diploma. You are so close, Jackie... You're stong, and even if you're not happy right now, I think in the long run it will really be worth it. But at the same time, if you've truly given this careful thought, and in your heart you know that you can't finish school right now, then do what makes you happy. Just know that right now, a little patience will take you a long, long way.

Also, try talking to Jessie and Jena Woods, and anyone else you know who got their GED. Preferably someone who's been "out" of high school awhile. See where it took them. Sometimes at the time, we think we're making the right decision, but then looking back, we might be full of regret. Be sure that that won't happen to you. I love you, darling. Keep me

I am with Ashley on this one babe. Diplomas look much better to a potential employer than a GED. And you say that you'll go back and get your diploma, but the thing is, if you have your GED already, they won't let you. And if you are past a certain age, they won't let you. I know how badly you don't want to be there, I felt the same way. I believe that you can do it, and if you need any help with anything, feel free to call me. I also suggest talking to someone about this decision. Get some advice. But whatever you do, I support you. And I know that you can do it.

i understand the feeling of having dug yourself too far into the hole to get out...and maybe thats what happened here... if its too much work to get your diploma, then do this...but you arent allowed to get it until we all graduate. and on another note....think of not being able to walk down the aisle, throw your cap in the air...its cliche as shit...but just something to think about. and although im not interested in it...what about prom?? just little memory things like that. idk. you know i support you with any decision you make, just know youre in for the long haul.

another reason why im thinking about stopping is because i think about prom, and walking at graduation, and the class of 2007 being dismissed early...and i dont even care. maybe im crazy, but for some odd reason none of that matters to me. this is the fucking toughest decision ive had to make. i know im letting a lot of ppl down, but i dont know if i have a choice. its getting down to crunch time and im broke. not a cent to my name. and im gunna be on my own before i know it. im not graduating anyways and i dont have the time to spare to do the extra work it takes to get my diploma. im fully aware of the risks im taking. and im a lot more educated about it than most kids who drop out. i know what i want, and i'll do anything to get it. god this is hard.

you cannot get your GED until your class graduates-its one of the requirements- you can take yours with me. its your choice. i recommend you stay in school cuz you only have a couple months left and i think its just your senioritis- however i have the info if you want.
