Marie Bertha (St. Pierre) Watts, age 72, a lifelong resident of Fall River. Passed away November 22, 2008 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Armand W. Watts Sr. of 51 years. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Louis & Irene (Roussell) St. Pierre. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Watts worked as a Sewing Machine Operator for several Garment Manufacturers. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and a parishioner of Notre Dame Church. Marie was an avid Red Sox fan, never missing a game. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Beside her husband of Fall River, she is survived by 3 children: Armand W. Watts Jr. 7 his wife Lea of Somerset, Kevin Watts of Fall River, & Susan Cabral & her husband Robert of Somerset. 4 siblings: Leo St. Pierre of Somerset, Doris Desrosiers & Jeanne St. Pierre both of Fall River, Yvonne Goyette of Westport. 3 grandchildren & many nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Oliver, Norman, Roger, & Blanche St. Pierre, Cecile Goyette, Alice Therrien.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Wednesday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Notre Dame Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 4-8 P.M.
