We do not yet have any cases of COVID-19 in the town in which I live. However, in the region there are 8 cases but no deaths. The first two diagnosed patients here have recovered and were sent home to remain in self-isolation. I know this is nothing compared to elsewhere in the world and compared to what some of my flist has been experiencing. ( Read more... )

That DNA test sounds interesting. I know we are a pretty mixed bunch, even in the last 3 generations, but again, people hailing from Transylvania usually are.

Finding out your origins is endlessly fascinating. I recommend doing it, especially now when we need some distractions.

Ancestry is a fascinating subject. I tried doing my own research but everything petered out at my great grandma.

Yes, it is really fascinating. Unfortunately it's a bit expensive to have one of the ancestry websites do the work for you but they know how to delve into the information, plus they will do DNA testing which can tell you so much more about your origins.
