It's raining today, but gently and the sky is trying to choose between light and clouds. Its colour is white in some places and very pale blue in others. I feel odd today as if I am coming down with something so I decided to relax and listen to music, mainly Bob Dylan and Joan Baez.

The outhouse story brought back memories. When I was very small my cousin's house had an outhouse --- you went out the kitchen and along the side of the house and there it was -- and it was famous for humungous spiders. I only ever went in there once, after that I learned to hold it till we got home, lol.
It sounds like the kind of day to be quiet and kind to yourself. I hope you're already feeling better - just rest, it cures most things.

I've had vivid nightmares ever since about finding huge spiders in small spaces. It was from my memories of that outhouse plus the spiders in a particular bus shelter I used to use back in the day that has triggered them.
I've been resting a lot. It's been easy because our weather has been variable with lots of rain. I'm sure my allergies caused a sinus infection to start.

I grew up with all that music. My mom was a would-be hippie and the sounds of Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Peter, Paul and Mary, Janis Joplin, The Beatles etc. filled my childhood.
I would have freaked in that outhouse!

Folk music has always been a favourite of mine since childhood. My Dad took me to coffee houses in Toronto when I was a kid. I loved the atmosphere there and when I was in my late teens I visited New York with a couple of friends and we stayed in Greenwich Village which was populated by coffee houses and folk singers as well. That started my love of folk and anti-war protest songs.
