Oh dear, it already sounds like quite the adventure. I'm sorry you had to give up the house you loved so much but I hope you'll be happy in Calgary with your daughter and her family.

I've been thinking of you a lot lately. Mum and I have been watching the Great Canadian Baking Show, and that reminds me of online friends who live in Canada; although at the moment you are the only one I still have contact to.

It was circumstances that forced me to leave a house I loved, but it was an older house and required a lot of fixing up. I had a lot of work done in the two years we were there - replaced the flooring up and downstairs, replaced all the electrical wiring, had 7 fire alarms installed, replaced all the old sinks and faucets, and had all the overgrowth in the garden cut back. In fact, I hired a lawn service to take care of the large lot, which was over 10,000 square feet, too much to look after on my own.

How nice of you to think of me! I love watching the baking shows and was delighted when Canada decided to participate.

That sounds like a very stressful journey. I imagine you're very relieved to have everything settled now, even if hubby is far away. Hugs to you all.
