Annoyed

Well I ordered a tie and pin with the Hufflepuff crest to wear to the movie. I'm going as a Hufflepuff. I'm sure this is no surprise. Personally I am weiry of this movie. They're taking it and making it too teen pop. Harry Potter is not teen pop. I also find it highly offensive that Draco is not wearing robes. Lucius would smack him a good one. ( Read more... )

oo! That's so cool, I wish I could go as Hufflepuff but I'm not allowed to buy stuff online...Must get to work in knitting! ^^

Hm, well personally I feel a lot better about this movie than the last two simply because they're not going exactly by the book, and it just looks more fun. I do agree that they did change the style a lot, [Hermione has gone Hollywood!],but I'm not going to judge the movie purely on that factor. I can't really say they're out of character either because I haven't seen the movie yet, and all my opinions are based on the trailers and tv specials. Rowling must have been ok with all this though because she makes sure the movies include everything essential and I don't think she'd let them get way off base...maybe she wants the secret romance? I don't know, but even with so many changes I'm looking forward to seeing POA. Hopefully we won't be dissapointed :)

I agree completely. Another thing that Bothered me was Oliver Wood. WHY???? I love Sean Biggerstaff, he is sex on legs, but he is most defintely a better Cedric Diggery than Oliver Wood. don't you agree?

He'd of made a lovely Cedric. Unfortunately they'll probably have Justin Timberlake as Cedric as things are going. Its too American Pop as far as I've seen. I mean could Draco look less like he was raised in a manor. I mean he was raised in Wiltshire in a manor. His accent is Cockney. I don't know. The movies haven't been bad but the little things like Draco's accent, Harry's tame hair and Ron being a bit plump drives me up the wall. In my opinion it only looks to be going downhill. I'm going to see it but I worry about why its being made. The Lord of the Rings movies were made by fans. This is made to make money and appeal to the general now teen audience and leaves the book fans out in the cold. I could go on about the negative side of the films for hours but it'd be a bore.

I do like how wild Harry's hair looks in the latest movie - it finally looks like it fits the book.

The overall thing is that, while it might be different... it's still HP. :P As an HP fan, I'm willing to accept the good of it and forgive the bad of it.

The horrible thing about the movies is its for money. I doubt this director has read the books. Its out to attract the biggest audience and in this case, American teens.
