I had to remove bad_sex and foundphotos from my friend's page because, Jesus Christ, did they ever become annoying very quickly.

The posting on bad_sex went from being awesome stories about accidental trysts with pre-op transsexuals, to around 500 posts a day about, "Oh! *giggle giggle* My boyfriend and I are so zany and cute and we do random things

I've been very luck with communities - I'm in over 100 and still haven't had any terrible problems (I think I've only quit one because of the bad atmoshpere)...
Oops, now I'd better go knock on wood!^^

That is the main reason I've never bothered adding foundphotos. LJ-cuts are friends, lovely fiends that keep layouts nice and purty. And who wants to twiddle thier thumbs while it takes twenty minutes for a page to load?

I recently made a friends filter called "Essentials," that contains only the LJs I would truly hate to miss. It's cut down my LJ time by 2/3.
