P. Diddy won't kill you over voting, since he's the Man now. Come on, rich, bitches, Cristal, whining about his goddamned internet music rights - he's totally part of the Man.

I thought about it, and, you know, it totally won't be your fault if VA passes the gays suck amendment. VA may be for lovers, but not if you're queer, and there's no point in holding you responsible.

However, I've decided that I will blame you (not your DMV, no, you) if Webb loses. Just so you know.

When I got home from Japanese, I walked in on my dad on the phone with the Virgina desk of the Washington Post telling them exactly how disenfranchised I was. I didn't think it was such a big deal, but he did some digging and found out that correct procedure wasn't followed in my case. Apparently, they should have given me a preliminary ballot instead of just asking me to register again and booting me out.

He's all fired up and wants to raise hell about it, while all I really want is to check some boxes on a sheet of paper and get it over with.

Also, if Webb loses, I take full responsibility. I should have pushed him to kiss more babies, but he's allergic.

Man, I watched a sick amount of election news tonight, and at one point they were talking about how because it was so close, they had to assess and then count the valid provisional ballots for those who weren't properly registered to vote...

And I was like, what the fuck, Horrue-san said they didn't let her vote!

I'm glad your dad is kicking up a fuss, but I'm more sad that you didn't get to vote. (Because holy crap is it fucking close!)

In re the news commentary: they were talking about VA, not in general. I'm really tired and realized maybe that wasn't so clear.

I totally sympathize. For the primary elections, I had to get an absentee ballot since I'm in PA for school. So they sent it to me ON THE DAY OF THE ELECTION! It has to be postmarked by then, so my vote didn't count and it was very annoying. I did get it in time to vote in the general election (or there would have been hell to pay).
