It's alright. I understand, you're grieving. Few people who aren't Jewish - and I'm not Jewish either - would know the meaning of what I said. "Baruch dayan emet." It's a blessing for the dead. It expresses a belief that God knows what he is doing, and that the person is in safe hands. I know it's not everyone's belief, and I apologise if it upset you. All I have to offer is that it was something important to Alice and I.
