most totally completely HAS to be, Half Blood Prince, sure she kills off dumbledore (STUPID JK ROWLING!!!!) but it is by far the best book of the series, everything that has been building up for the first five is starting to come together, i cant wait for number 7 if only so that ron and hermoine can finally hook up like they are supposed tov(i say that to keep my sister happy), and to see everything get resolved (ten bucks says ron, harry and/ or hermoine bite it in book seven)

I can pretty much gurantee you that Harry won't, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Ron died in book 7. Hermione dying would be quite a bit less expected to me, but it still wouldn't be completely out of the blue. I have to agree though, I loved book 6 and I can't wait for book 7. Oh, by the way, have you seen Dumbledore Is Not Dead? It's an interesting read.

I know JK Rowling loves setting up intricate little foreshadows in her books and have them turn into major plot twists, so I'm not even sure Harry will be the one that beats Voldemort, Neville stands a good chance in my book. I don't like that particular ending idea, but it still seems reasonable.

No, the prophecy made it quite clear that it's Harry (if anybody; I kinda withdraw my previous statement to say that I wouldn't be surprised either if Harry and Voldemort end up killing each other) who's going to defeat Voldemort, because Voldemort chose Harry as the one to defeat him. "He will mark him as his equal" and all that. Neville had the potential to be in Harry's shoes, but Voldemort chose to go after the Potter boy instead, which made Neville nothing more than an ordinary boy who shares Harry's birthday.
