i went to the miramar air show this weekend and made my ears feel like they were going to bleed and my face melt off from the noise all the airplanes made.  in other words, it was pretty awesome.  :-)

i saw mr. paden at in n out on wednesday and amazingly, he recognized me.  i didn't get to say much to him other than a quick hello because he was on the phone and i was heading back to school, already a bit late.  in any case, it was a nice surprise.

so dry farmed watermelon season is slowly creeping up, and i'm wondering if anyone even uses this method anymore.  when i was little, i would go with my dad up to paso robles where pierre the watermelon farmer would always have these great hulking things that were so sweet and juicy that the rinds were cracking.  the guy would get the vines growing ( Read more... )
