When I should have been working, I was writing with the viral. This is MOST DISTRACTING. On Independence Day. What productivity can stoop to.

Celeborn has deciphered Galadriel’s mood from her posture for at least five thousand years )

I really should have read the second one first. Hilarious :D

The first is lovely though.

Hmpf. He won’t even be use as a witness because he’s a damned avatar, and this whole idea was probably Vishnu’s.

I *love* this bit!

There IS a Buddha sitting under a tree! I am so madly in love with you (and the Shiva, of course) right now. I can't believe you dug that old conversation up. Thank you thank you thank you! :D

The Celeborn is wonderful too. As are the descriptions of Galadriel's emotional shoulders.

Brahma sniffed, delicately. “Convention.”

I tee hee'd out loud.

I had promised you something you hadn't read before. ;) And the results of vaguely traipsing through the lj has some benefits.

I'm glad you liked it. :D

But Galadriel's emo shoulders and Shiva as a party host are not pieces that should be read together, non? ;)

Loved it. Of course. rugicorrino February 23 2009, 10:35:37 UTC
As usual, you did a wonderful job describing Celeborn and Galadriel's tempestuous and difficult relationship. You manage to show how two powerful, determined people with, often warring wishes and responsibilities, could somehow live with themselves throughout millenia.

This is a scene that I've always found fascinating because I can't imagine that it could have been pleasant for Celeborn to accept the ring. I thought that it was interesting to see Galadriel humbled at her moment of greatest temporal power - a nice dichotomy. And the end was perfect too.
