I never wanted to write a death story when he died, I wanted to write a life story. I don't think your post was maudlin, it was heartfelt, written full of feeling for your dog! Don't apologise for that! What you're feeling is perfectly normal - would you expect a friend to apologise to you for loving a lost friend?

Of course not Mel, but I don't know, it just seemed over-the-top wah-wah-wah last time. Like too many gory details or something. I just feel like it was a bad post. Like it was written for the wrong reason. That was the reason for my apology. Not apologizing because I miss Toby! That heartache is getting worse right now as the immediate shock wears off, but it's the good kind of grief, not utter self pity.

You'll actually probably like going back and reading that post. Sometimes I'll go back and read what I wrote about Murphy. I don't ever want to forget one moment of that day. I wish I had written more.
