Christine smiled in greeting at the young lieutenant. They hadn't interacted much; hopefully they'd have a chance to get to know each other better during this mission.
She'd been surprised to receive the message requesting her presence on the mission - after all, she was still just a visitor here. But she'd been more than happy to lend a hand whenever it was needed, since coming aboard, and she couldn't deny that the mission sounded intriguing. It wasn't often that she had the opportunity to go planetside, even in her own universe.
"Lieutenant Uhura," Christine replied. "It's good to see you again."
It was unfortunate that Nyota had so little time to spend getting to know the counterparts that appeared on the ship; something always seemed to go wrong at the least opportune moment. Yet if Christine was anything like Tina, she was sure they would get along just fine.
On duty she prefered the use of her rank, but as they were not scheduled to leave for another fifteen minutes, she replied, "Nyota, please." She turned to the man beside her and leaned forward to check something on his PADD, turning her attention back to Christine when she'd signed off.
"I'm sorry if you had other plans, but I'm glad you could make it," she started. "I know that you're not officially a member of the crew, but you come highly recommended. The Eresians need all the medical help they can get, and it's difficult getting McCoy to spare any nurses, least of all ones I'd trust with this." Not that any member of Sickbay wasn't qualified, but Nyota simply wanted the best.
"Of course, Nyota," she replied easily. "I'm happy to help however I can." She smiled. "And don't worry about my plans - if there's one thing I have plenty of here, it's time."
She very much wanted to ask for more details about the mission, but she was sure Nyota wouldn't want to go through her explanation more than once. Hopefully the other members of the away team would arrive soon.
Leah arrived at the shuttlebay a few minutes before the appointed time curious to get more details of the mission.
"Christine," she smiled in greeting to the other Chapel, and then remembered that just last night the Lieutenant had said it was okay to use her first name. "Nyota. Well I guess you are getting to see more of me," she said with a little laugh.
