Jim Motznik is a dipshit.  What the hell.  Apparently he was politicking just hours before O'Connor's death.  What a horrible thing to do.  Serves him right with Sheilds being appointed president of council.

Oh, no way!  Okay, watching night talk, this exchange just occurred.

Oh my GAWD!! Jim Motznik is such an effin' douche, I couldn't believe that when I read it! Granted, I agree with him that Jeff Koch may not be the brightest bulb in the lamp, but the part about him being "emabarassed" about being on Council got to me. I was like "well, that's at least two of us who are ashamed of you, Jim! Finally we have something we can both agree on."

I could not believe how horrid he was being. It's like, dude, the mayor just died and council (as restricted as they are by so many oversight boards) aren't REALLY doing anything crazy important...focus on the tasks at hand, don't make this about you and your bruised ego!
