So, "Lockdown" aired tonight. It wasn't a fantastic episode, but what's important is that it built the momentum for the next episode, the big one, the 100th, "Reckoning." What's most shocking about this is that somehow "Reba" is airing its 100th episode on Friday. Has that show really been on that long???
Anyway, back to "Lockdown." Lana knows that Lex is into her. Clark knows that Lex is into Lana and he's jealous of her friendship with him. Lana is trying to get closer to Lex. So that's the love-triangle. The spaceship is gone. Spike is nowhere to be seen. That's the alien situation. Chloe is still very one-dimensional. Her only purpose is to tell Clark to tell Lana his secret and to say how cool it is everytime he superspeeds. Maybe Chloe is on her way out? Her character has had no development this season, whatsoever. Once Lana knows Clark's secret what purpose would Chloe serve? Jonathan sold the back forty. What the fuck does that mean? Don't they know farmers don't watch Smallville and no one else gets the farm lingo? I assume it's a large portion of land (40 acres, or so?).
Lex is out of his fucking mind. I love it. Clark is pissed off and feeling like he's at the end of his rope. Lana...is pretty, but not very intelligent. How can she not tell that Clark won't put out because he's an alien? That would have been my first guess. Ma and Pa Kent are tense over the election, but nothing serious there. Lois is getting huge bags under her eyes and it's very unattractive. See? I couldn't even remember who was left. Chloe is doing nothing, as usual.
Our only concrete clues as to who is going is the axe (or really the windshield to the head, since we know there's a car accident) are (1) it is someone that Clark loves, so Lionel lives and (2) the actor has been looking forward to time off. Or so says Tom Welling, whom I wouldn't trust as far as I could throw him. And he's a big guy.
TV Guide said that there could be more than one character death and Sheriff Adams is dead now so that could be that.
Who do I think it'll be? Either Jonathan or Chloe. Chloe has become lame and Jonathan dies early on in Superman mythology.
Who could it be, but won't be? Lana! Bitch hates the people she works with (except for Allison Mack) and Canadians are notoriously lazy. The Lana/Clark relationship will have run its course by the end of this episode. Lana Lang isn't part of Superman's life, yet she apparently knows his secret. God, I am just so sick of her. But Kristin Kreuk is too hot to cut from the show - they'd never do it. Whatever.
Who should it be? They should bring Pete back just to kill him off. Just kidding!
