I'm sorry for the loss of your grandmother...You have my sympathies,

In most states, those police officers would have been in serious trouble for leaving. My step dad's a police sergeant, and he's had to sit in rooms with dead bodies before for hours until a coroner/ambulence came to get them... Your poor aunt. That was very inconsiderate of them, even if it isn't in their job description.

Kait- your post has got me bawling. I hope you are doing okay. I wish i could be there with ya! i love you and your family as if they were my very own. I remember growing up and spending a few occasions with The Grandma Coppock. She was always so excited to see her grandchildren.

We had gotten the "phone call" from jill late at night and it was out of the ordinary for her to call us.. even after she had just visited us last weekend. I remember my sister leaving the room to go talk to her and i was shaking cuz i thought something had happen to Dan... When jill came back in tears and told us about Grandma it seemed so surreal. I had always pictured our grandmas being so young! ya know?... and Grandma Coppock didnt look 97... I would like to think that she had a young heart......
