- The building itself is rickety and worn on the outside. The inside, however, is new and fresh-looking. Polished wood floors, and walls/fixtures/etc in a white-blue pattern that is tasteful and stuff.
- There are several* tables for costumers, as well as a display case of desserts that are available. There is a small recipe book in the back, and anyone that frequents knows diamonds to ducks that Shiki only excels in one kind of cake, and several types of cookie. Anything more is just risking it. sry.
- There is a storeroom behind the counter in the back, where the tea supplies are. There are a lot of diverse little supplies that will last him until he needs to plead for more. He takes weekly count and rations the repeat customers as his business sense is not too good. (Hi Shinku).
- There are two bedrooms. Both spartan, save for the paint. Shiki's is a moderate bedroom with a view of the deeper woods/bog. The other bedroom is a bit bigger, with several (5?) smaller tatami mats inside. Shiki assumed they were for guest with hangovers or something--except that alcohol's banned. GJ Shiki.
- Before the bedrooms is a moderate cooking area with a primitive stove (old cast iron, belly style I assume) with the appropriate supplies for the day laid out the day previous. It still takes him some doing before he can master it fully, but it's nostalgically familiar because *SPOILER*
- You have to walk through the open space (Kitchen) to get to the bedrooms and storage closet.
- Shiki is not open for service every day of the week. In fact, it's barely half of the week, toward Friday through Sunday. He's still a frail individual, and he's not a professional in keeping shop. On top of that, Shiki is trying nightly to locate the Director while keeping a decent amount of sleep time, so he's constantly prowling the woods/bog. EDIT: While he has cut back on the majority of his night prowls, the café hours remain just as scarce. However, he does put more time into mastering baked goods and the like.
- He's missing things. Like a cash register, appropriate book-keeping material, etc. A proper refrigeration unit (so time-keep items are overturned when necessary). An open area for making firewood. And a bathroom. He treks to the Boys' Shower for morning cleanup.
- When he is open, customers can look forward to your typical brand of cookies, cake--if he's had time to properly prepare them**, and an assortment of teas upon request. He has a mastery of seven brands of tea, and a "certain annoying doll" is pushing him to further this craft. His china collection is appropriate.
- Unless there's a rush of sorts, he's closing shop at a 8:45pm. Both to give himself time to prep for another day, and to prepare for his nightly searching. Ren is typically with him. He doesn't go anywhere when he's too tired, though, so friends can usually convince him to stick around if/when necessary.
- Regulars are free to notice a little blue-haired girl with pointy ears hanging around or working now and again. That's Ren. He's relaxed his policy on keeping her under wraps, and is letting her get comfortable around camp in general.
- IT HAS BEEN DECIDED that the one providing Shiki's stock is a mysterious benefactor with a taste in bad jokes. So he will get overstock on some things, and camp-style stock every so often.
- He is working on keeping a small amount of hygiene essentials for the maids that may likely sleep over at times. He's also want for a bookcase and a good, wooden trunk.
List of needs for later
- wooden trunk
- bookcase + books
- Firepit and a Lean-to shed.
Accomplished baked goods
Croissants
Glazed Biscuits
Lemon Cake (Ren's favorite? have to canon backtrack so subject to change)
LOOK UP AND GET SOME JAPANESE SNACKS U MORON /o/
*as many as I need \o\
*SPOILER* I assume the Nanaya did not have much in the manner of modern facilities, given they're home was in the middle of the mountains, away from any electric grids.
**He usually has not had time.
