Man, I feel like a loser...and I dont even know why. Well, I do know why, but Id rather forget about it. ARRRRRRRGHH! IM SUPPOSED TO BE HAPPY! This cant be happening....
if I have so much going for me, then why doesnt my coach see that??? Problem: I know you said to do things for myself, but part of making myself feel good is knowing that my coaches think Im a good athlete...I just, dont feel like Im being supported. I dunno, maybe Im just being stupid...
sports isn't everything! think about all the other amazing things you have going for you: you're being interviewed all over the place, your documentary's being shown on tv, you're swing dancing (!!!!!!!). you have so much!
i agree, though, it is hard when your coach doesn't see that. but really, that's his problem. if it's that important to you, then yes, it is your job to make him see that, but you will be happier and do better if you simply improve for yourself. did you get the illinois dvds? watch those until you have all the strategies memorized. practice your butt off until you can do everything perfectly. we both know that you have the will in you to do that. then, when you're applying to colleges, make sure that the coaches there know how amazing you've become. the fact that you did it on your own will be even better.
Maybe its just anxiety?justaniaMarch 28 2005, 23:09:23 UTC
Sports, are a big part of my life...but I do have other ambitions. Tis true... I have more I want to offer, but I also want people to believe I can do it! More then anything, Im afraid of being those kind of people who "could have been someone great." You know? No regrets. I dont like coming to practice every Saturday and feeling like my coaches are gonna tell me I cant do it. I dunno...Ive gotten that alot lately. And Im good at sports but I wanna be great!
Yea, I did get the DVD's. JOSH GEORGE went to Illinois and I didnt know that till I saw him on the DVD set. (I saw Coach Frogley at Nationals to, I interviewed him, but I was hella nervous around him, dunno why.)
So yea. Ill definetly watch em. Im so glad I can talk to you about this, you're such a wonderful person. (Why you thought u were terrible, Ill never know) Dude...OMG Im graduating soon. So scary!
