I don’t know what it was…but the day after moaning about the adverts on myspace I got a letter in the mail about the next step in the visa process
( Read more... )
Hey hey! Are you moving to the US? Visas are a pain, I'm trying to get mine to work in New York and they're giving me all sorts of wrong info at the US Embassy. Bugger!
I'm doing an internship at the United Nations, probably Dept. of Public Information but I haven't got any specific info yet. The internship lasts 2 months, from June to August, and I can probably extend it another 2 months. Then, heaps of travelling! Round the east coast at least, coz I've never been there. And if I save up, maybe Australia! ;)
Also, about your mom, I'm not sure what advice I can give you since I'm not an only child... But being the youngest and still living at home, my parents find it really hard to accept that I want to travel and just be away from home. I wrote them a letter before my trip to Kenya, just before Christmas, and simply said that I love them and that my feelings won't change if I move away and stuff. Made them feel better I guess. Good luck :)
At the UN! Cool!! Where abouts do you think you will travel to? I would highly recommend the National Parks of Utah, Canyonlands in particular. That place is just incredible. And it's right next to about 4 other ones!
I like the idea of writing a letter as well! Thanks :D

Cool, what are you going to be doing over there? How long are you going for?
