I think Ashika held onto James for too long because she wanted to love him. She wanted to have a REASON to waste her time with this man. And because she finally realized what a vapid asshole he is and felt sorry for him. UGH.
He is, isn't he? Fire is too good for him, though.
Kirsty was just...ugggh, I wanted to stab that bitch to DEATH, omg...
She said to Matt once that she didn't want him to leave his wife. But yet she wasn't happy when he started going home more and leaving her on her own. So yeah, maybe she had outgrown the relationship and him but had been hanging on for so long that she didn't know how to let go.

Yes. Every episode I just wanted to strangle her. And somehow make Danny see that she was terrible. I don't understand what he ever saw in her. She didn't even seem like she was that good at her job.
Yes.
I just couldn't believe they went there. I kept expecting Scott to pull out, or Kirsty and they just kept going until they ended up in bed together. It was the biggest frakking train wreck ever. I guess I expected it of Kirsty, but I was hoping that Scott was better by then. Thankfully he did get better by the end of the series so that he could be worthy of Ashika.
She wasn't good at her job, she was a terrible human being...honestly, I think Danny's mom-issues transfered into his dating life. He immediately honed in on the most awful one he could find and tried to prove he was better than their assessment. Which...he IS no doubt, but I seriously think his issues clouded his judgement. The girl was just...nasty. UCK.
I honestly think if Scott got with Ashika right away, he would never have learned a damned thing. I mean, he screwed Kirsty because he COULD. He never stopped to think about Danny, though he didn't even like the girl and knew Danny was nuts about her. I think the guilt over that made him mature faster. Because he kept fucking up and getting close to being caught. I just...ScottScottScott - NO!! DAMMIT.
Makes me think it was a pattern throughout their childhood, too. And he forgave Danny his retaliation because...Danny doesn't retaliate, you know? Ever. But something makes me think he's done this more than once.
