You Should be Reading....The Hunger Games

I used to love reading, but during college that fell by the wayside and I never really picked it up again. But since I've been unemployed for a while, I decided that I should spend some of my free time by reading more than my usual trashy romance novels (yes, I'll admit to them). I totally need to get back into reading. :/ I haven't read any books since the first part of the year.

That's way too long bb. Pick this one up - Katniss is a lot like Kara, so just think of it as an extension of our BSG obsession ;) Plus it's YA fic, so it's a quick read.

I think I'm leaning towards Peeta for now. With the little conversation that they had, he was able to draw another side of Katniss out which I liked to see. Additionally, he was really trying to ensure that she made it through to the end by aligning himself with the Careers and trying to help her when was she attacked by the stinging insects (Already forget the name). I don't think that she was feigning feelings for Peeta towards the end of the competition. Maybe it wasn't love, but I thought she had stronger feelings for him than when they started.

I almost saw Gale as a Helo type figure in Katniss' life. Maybe I'm just as dense as Katniss is in reading people's feelings. I just need to see more of Gale to make a better determination.

Peeta definitely has a lot to recommend himself to Kat, but I think what pushes me over to Gale is that at the beginning of the book there are hints that Kat might have some feeling for Gale that she hasn't even admitted to herself. Time will tell though. I want to see what happens in book 2 :)
