Dear Mom,
I'm not sure how I'm gonna send this - I'm really far away, right now - but I'm sure I'll find a way. The Doctor will know.
That's who I'm travelling with, him and a girl named Erimem. No, he's not taking advantage of us, and no, I don't want to marry him. He's like...a big brother, and Erimem is like a little sister, and we're sort of a family now.
I wanted you to know that I'm okay, and that I miss you.
I know things haven't been great since dad died. I wasn't the best daughter. I wasn't the best anything, really. And then Howard but I don't want to talk about him, right now. I want to say I'm sorry, and I love you, and I hope one day I'll be back and I'll have all these amazing stories to tell you and we'll be a family again, too.
I'm a better person than I was before I left. I'm…I've learned so many things, Mom, and done so many things, and I've proven myself. To me, because I've figured out that that's all that matters. This is so much better than University, and it's helped me so much more, so I want you to know I made the right choice, and I wouldn't take it back for the world.

FACTS ABOUT THE DOCTOR:
LOOKS A LOT YOUNGER THAN HE IS. He doesn't even have to say so, you can totally see the grumpy old man inside.
CAN BE A LOT MORE FUN THAN YOU MIGH THINK. Sure, he acts all respons ible and uptight, but he loves his adventures. Turlough was right, he gets in so much trouble.
WILL RAMBLE ABOUT ANYTHING. Seriously, he doesn't know when to stop when he gets on about something he's interested in. And he's interested in a lot. Okay, Doctor, I really don't need to know the history of glass.
LIKES TO WEAR A VEGETABLE. I still don't know why. I should ask him some time. It seems normal, now, which is just..weird. Weirder than the cricket uniform he wears all the time. Seriously, someone needs to teach him about fashion.
IS THE BRAVEST PERSON IN THE UNIVERSE. He's risked his life so many times for so many people. Sometimes really stupidly, but it all works out in the end. He'll tell you he's just that clever, but really he's just that lucky.
ISN'T SOMEONE YOU WANT TO MESS WITH. Yeah, he looks cute and harmless most of the time, but he's really not. I mean, he doesn't like to hurt people, but he can and he will if he has to. Usually he'll just outsmart you, though. Maybe with a little mocking. You probably deserve it.
IS A BIT NEUROTIC. Can we say 'repressed'? Yes we can.
