... a poem lovely as a tree-
My dogwood just couldn't take it anymore.
One side of it had died leaving it side-heavy, and we've had some wind. I noticed it seemed to be at a bit of an angle after a storm the other day and then the angle seemed more acute the next day. I woke up yesterday to find it laying on the ground. Goodbye pink dogwood.
I decided to soak and shape my stays, though they aren't quite finished. I soaked them for maybe 30-45 minutes and then put them on the dressform. I had to improvise to hold the tops of the front and back down to the form, resulting in the ribbons you see. I wanted the tabs to stick out some, so I put spools of thread under them. I think it will take a couple days for them to fully dry.
