winding down

I found out earlier this week that I have been officially hired as House Chair of Franklin! There actually wasn't much worry because I was (am?) the only applicant for two positions...but it was still exciting to get the letter. The good news is that I get to be House Chair, and do all sorts of cool stuff, and work with a great group of peers, ( Read more... )

totally. i think we are done August 26 or something. but totally wait. if you say that you can't do it now then she may tell you not to come back. and if you need to you can pretend that it came up over the summer. wait until the second or third week.

They can't hire you unless you apply! If you're at all interested, you should apply. Really, I don't know of anyone else who has...

I say tell them now. If she hasn't given you a closing date yet, there can't be any harm in saying you have to leave on the 20th. And you shouldn't think of returning on the 20th as "early" if she hasn't even told you how long you should stay! You're already hired; she's not going to just tell you to not come. And you might get on her bad side if you wait to tell her until the middle of the summer, or even just a week or two into it. I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't understand that you need to return to school a little early for training. Tell her now!
