While the content in question may be disturbing, it is not in violation of LiveJournal's Terms of Service. LiveJournal allows for its users to express themselves in a wide variety of ways, even if they may be considered objectionable to others.
We cannot take action against a user for admitting that they have committed illegal activities or posting images thereof; it is not illegal to discuss illegal actions. We can only take action if the user is actively encouraging others to commit such actions, or if they are soliciting or providing information on how to do so. Because this is not the case here, we cannot take action.
The FAQ located at http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=107&view=full contains information on content which is prohibited on LiveJournal, and you can find further information on the Abuse Team's policies at http://www.livejournal.com/abuse/policy.bml. If you believe the user has posted material in violation of these policies, please file a new report and we will look into this matter further.

So I looked up the TOS agreement and responded back with the following

Upload, post or otherwise transmit any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive to another's privacy (up to, but not excluding any address, email, phone number, or any other contact information without the written consent of the owner of such information), hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
Harm minors in any way;
I copied this from LJ'S own TOS agreement. I have found that animal cruelty is Unlawful, Harmful, Abusive, Tortious, Vulgar, Obscene, Hatefull, and "Otherwise Objectionable. Furthermore it could very well harm minors.
Please uphold your own agreement.
IF they refuse to uphold the agreement, since the video is animal cruelty in its finest I will close my Livejournal. For those of you that actually read my sporatic updates I actually update my Myspace page located here:
