I have never been sadder than I have the past six months or so. I always thought Gran would be around to see me get married... to see my kids... to see them grow. I am angry she was robbed of years of her life. I am sad she is not here, and selfishly wish that I could've kept her here longer ( Read more... )

Oh, Amy! I'm so sorry to hear about your Gran. *huge hugs* You are so brave to have sang at her funeral. When I lost my Grama, after a long battle with Alzheimer's, I was supposed to sing Amazing Grace at her funeral, but at the last minute I decided that I just couldn't do it, I was too emotional. Then as we were getting ready, my Mom and I were listening to an Indigo Girls CD that I'd gotten for Christmas, and one of the songs just fit. I played that instead of singing, because it said everything I couldn't say but wanted to ( ... )

I'm sorry to hear about your Gran. I knew something was amiss. My spidey senses were tingling and I was SO worried about you. I wish there was something that I could do to make this an easier time for you. I've got a great big hug waiting for you when I see you at the Onion on the 29th!!!
