Why must every aspect of our culture revolve around love? Every movie...book...song...they all use it as a central theme. It's so annoying.

Tonight at work, I saw one of the patients' family members reading Wicked and we had like a ten minute talk about the book, soundtrack, musical, and stars...she didn't know it was going to be in Cincy in March and when I told her she got really excited...I made her day. Once again, Wicked prevails and makes me employee of the hour.

I'm interested in getting something that can play music and is easily transportable. I've heard a lot about iPod, and was wondering if anyone had suggestions as to a particular model. I'm watching the 20/20 special: Stupid in America. They're sending a correspondent around to various DC/NY schools and talking to students, feeling out the educational system, etc. They're trying to find out why America isn't doing nearly as well as other countries - countries that're basically third world.
