Then he takes a breath and the wind muffles down, as if the speaker has taken a seat blocked by the ledge, lessening all that background noise.]I think there are a lot of different ways to look at equivalence ( Read more... )

I'd put less blame on yourself and more blame on the people that failed to follow through with their promises.

[ pause. ]

Or maybe they tried to follow through, but there were things that got in the way. Or it was delivered, just not in the way you thought it would be.

Sometimes no matter how many things you do right, or how many you do wrong for that matter, no matter how hard you fight...nothing ever ends up equivalent. We're all fucked in the end.

At least that's how I look at it.

Sometimes I don't know why things happen and a lot of things don't seem fair, but if we were all screwed no matter what...I don't think I'd even bother getting out of bed in the morning.

[long pause]

But I've felt...sort of like that before. Like nothing I do is good enough, like like it's never going to get me where I need to go.

It passes though. I mean, it has to, kind of. Or else how do we keep on going?
