We did it 11 years ago - for our 25th anniversary and it was fabulous!! We did a bit of touring first (Andhorage - Denali - Fairbanks) and then cruised Seward-Vancouver, stopping in Sitka, Juneau & Ketchikan. There are lots of shore tours to take, at varying prices. For once, it turned out that the things we wanted to do were actually the cheapest - the "local history tour" type of thing. If you're going to Sitka, try to get to the Raptor Rehabilitation Centre. They take eagles & other birds that have been injured (mostly by man), heal them up and then release them back to nature. There's also a great octagonal Russian Orthodox church in town - just hope there isn't a service going on when you want to go in because you'll have to wait - it's still an active church

Hi Pam! we're also on the Holland America tour, on a chartered ship through Olivia Records,.... the women's music industry that I grew up and came "out" listening to. Meg Christian, their founder, will be on board and will be awarded a lifetime achievement award. She is a great singer and storyteller. We have a bunch of side shore trips lined up already, having been cautioned that they tend to sell out. So, I can't wait. We leave two weeks from tomorrow!!
