Anyway, I have a sense they went as far as they could within the Hollywood parameters, though I do hope they don't go too far toward the kind of throwback kitsch they did for Bandslam. Their songwriting sensibilities seem more interesting than mere pastiche.

I certainly don't think that their time with Hollywood recs could have produced anything better than Insomniatic, but still, I can't see this as anything but bad news.

Not optimistic myself, truth be told. But I have a feeling it's kind of a "keep moving or die" situation for them. Not sure why I feel this way...it might just be the bad track record of artists getting decent Hollywood Recs support for a long time.
