Throw in some senseless, vicious homicide, and Elle would never want to leave.
Looking at all the kids and the annoyed parents though, Elle was doubly glad she wasn't pregnant. When she'd woken up that morning she'd been panicking they'd forgotten a condom again before unashamedly downing a morning after pill from the pharmacy on their way into the park ( ... )

Really, it was endearing to see her so excited. And a little sad too, when he thought about the childhood she was never allowed to have. His own childhood had been far from perfect, but at least he had been able to have one. That was more than what could be said for Elle. For not the first time did he find himself glad that he killed Bob. Anyone who treated Elle so badly didn't deserve to live, not as far as Gabriel was concerned, anyways.
