So, Obama got his "stimulus" package passed, but it doesn't look too stimulatin'.   Perhaps we should have had him qualify what he wanted to stimulate, just like we should have asked what kind of change he wanted to bring.  Some people (the lucky ones!) are going to have to figure out how to spend an extra $13 each paycheck.  Whooptee-freakin'-doo

You know, I'm not big on anti-Christ theories, but what he has done with the mortgage bail outs is encouraging a lot of people who are borderline on making their monthly payments for everything to default. Why be a sucker (honorable and truthful) when no one else is?

A good bit of what's in that stimulus package seems to be pay offs to groups that supported him, including teachers' unions. My husband, who works as a teacher, was encouraged to join the national science teachers group. They were having an absolute jubilee because the stimulus package is going to provide them with frankly unneeded extra funding in their public schools.

There seems to be no end to this spending.

Some people were calling him Obamassiah. That's down right blasphemous. After he won, I actually heard a black woman say she wouldn't have to worry about her house payment or her car payment. Now we know what she meant!

Obama's porked-up stimulus package (1000 plus pages!) reminds me of a situation from a movie back in the 90's where Gene Hackman played a lawyer whose daughter (Mary Elizabeth Mastrontonio) is also a lawyer for the other side. One side sent the other the requested papers along with the "library of congress" worth of other papers. They buried it there so it would never be found. This is what Obama did with his so-called stimulus package.
