i drink far too much coffee. i'll drink it all day long and forget to eat, if I'm not careful. i remembered to eat yesterday, the lovely triscuit nachos that were nothing at all nacho-like; though i questioned myself on the last bite, why on earth did i not slice up tomato and olives for these delicious treats? and ate far too many out of a bag ( Read more... )

You make coffee-drinking extremely appealing. I do drink coffee, but I'm not a real aficionado. For someone hardcore about coffee like you this might be borderline sacrilegious, but I remember the first time I liked coffee was having a taste of our housekeeper's overly sweet, black but overly diluted, instant coffee when she and I had fried rice and fried dried fish one day for breakfast. I was maybe eight, and honestly believed a sip or two of her coffee would stunt my growth. (Well, apparently, it really had!)

it is way past coffee o'clock (usually 4:30 or so) here at the store and you just made my longing worse. :) The problem is that I don't want hot coffee b/c it's 90 degrees right now but I forgot to bring some from home and the folks across the street only make it hot. Anyway, remind me to send you some of our fine Zapatista coffee; I would love to hear how you describe it. I can only describe it as earthy but it doesn't seem to do it justice. Also: after all of this time, I am still at a loss to figure out what FAF stands for. Considering the attributes I have heard applied to him, I tend to want it to be something like Father of my children and Fuckhead. The curiosity is killing me.
