those terrible tests that you're required to take to get into grad school...like testing you on what the slope of a line is and what words like "luddite" or "didactic" mean. basically, it sucks.

i hear you. and i'm really glad that i've been reduced to writing vocab words on index cards and trying to remember which triangle means what within a given geometric theorem. AHHHHRRRRRRGGH. it's like the ACT pressure times 400!

Excuse me while I pepper you with questions about the test:

Did you get a special vocab book or did you just use the regular old GRE study guide thing? Is it worth it to get a vocab only book? I HATE THE ANTONYM SECTION!

Did you only take it once? Is the math as hard as it seems?! What is the written section like?

I just used a list of vocabulary words from the GRE website. It really wasn't helpful because there is about 1000 and I didn't bother to read them all.

I took it once because I only needed an 1100. Math is okay...but they throw in some geometry formulas I haven't seen since Jr. High.

The written section is by far the easiest. I remember one of the essays was an argumentative response to a question.
