HP 7... my thoughts (SPOILER ALERT!)

Ok so overall I enjoyed the book. However.. my thoughts::

The title: Why the HELL did you call it the Deathly Hallows when in the end, Harry just hid the Wand and lost the Stone? It should have been something like Harry Potter and the Final Horcrux.. maybe the "Deathly Hallows" sounds more frightening and therefore leads everyone to believe Harry ( Read more... )

i HATED the fact that dobby was killed! what crap! and also, what kind of name is albus severus? it doesn't ring well. i thought rowling was lacking a bit in creativity when she wrote the epilogue. also, about the epilogue, i too was a bit disappointed to learn only the lives of harry, ginny, hermione, ron, draco, and neville. i was hoping to find out about luna, hagrid (and madame maxime?), george, who the headmaster of hogwarts was, mcgonagall, the other professors, etc. and what was with 19 years? why not even it out to 20 or make it 15 or something? did harry become an auror? i mean, there are so many questions left unanswered! i was also curious about the gryffindor sword. how did it come out of the sorting hat when the goblin had it? one of my friends got me questioning this. i assumed it was because neville was a true gryffindor and could therefore pull the sword out of the hat. confusing ( ... )

Yeah- total BOO epilogue. Seriously an after-thought.

I think it was because Neville was exhibiting true Gryffindor behavior and that out-weighs who has the sword in their "possession" at the time.

Yeah- I liked the explaination of house elves not being held to wizarding rules. It also made a nice scape goat to escape the Malfoy basement :-)
