L'ArachelSource: Fire Emblem 8: The Sacred Stones
History: Princess L'Arachel hails from Rausten, a theocratic country that her uncle, Pontifex Mansel, rules over. Rausten boarders the Darkling Woods, a mostly uninhabitable place overrun with a variety of monsters, so frequent raids were pretty much common place. L'Arachel's parents took it as their duty to protect their people and vanquish the monsters. And so they basically gave their lives defending their citizens (Mansel took the throne after their deaths). While her parents had been killed when she was merely an infant, L'Arachel was told many stories about their bravery and good deeds, instilling a sense of pride in her. When she grew old enough, L'Arachel followed in her deceased parent's footsteps and started fighting for all that is good, just and right.
So it was only natural, after the former-friendly empire of Grado attacks its longtime ally Renais, and the continent of Magvel is being plagued by war, death and "the agents of evil," that L'Arachel would want to be in the front lines in the battle of Good vs Evil. After hearing a court troubadour's tale of what was befalling Magvel, L'Arachel pretty much forced the whole court to allow her to go on a "quest for justice". Before she met with either Prince Ephraim or Princess Eirika of Renais, she was basically roaming the continent with her two trusty bodygaurds Dozla and Rennac, incognito. After a few more battles with the Renais twins, it's finally revealed that she's actually a princess, and the sole heir to the Rausten throne.
And so L'Arachel, with the royal twins of Renais, Prince Innes and Princess Tana of Frelia, Prince Joshua of Jehanna and the rest of their army, head straight to the capital of Grado to kick ass and take some names figure out the mystery of just why Prince Lyon and Emperor Vigarde are warring with every nation on the continent. The quest then ends up being a fight to save all of mankind from an ancient evil.
L'Arachel's all good with that, though, since her whole life is basically dedicated to eradicating evil from the world.
Personality: She believes in justice, order and all that is good. She's very righteous, even condescendingly so (she says this to Joshua, when he comments that she is a lucky girl: "I have no need of luck, you see, for I benefit from divine grace!"). If something good happens, she's probably going to tell you that this is all the benefits of having "faith" and "divine providence" and what not. L'Arachel has a huge ego and is quite the narcissist; one will usually find her slipping in how 'beautiful' or 'gorgeous' she is. An in-game example of this is when talking to Princess Eirika, she comments that surely the other princess had noticed that she was of "superior birth," especially with her "refinement" and "grace of carriage" that surpassed "common folk".
L'Arachel also admits that she doesn't worry about trifling details. She also tends to speak in a blunt manner, and probably won't notice if she accidentally insulted you or not. And even if you bring it up, she'll probably just brush it off or act completely oblivious to it. "Outspoken" would probably be a good word for her. Oh, and assertive as well.
L'Arachel can also be very dramatic, once saying that she drowned her pillows in tears (you can expect a lot of exclamation marks from her as well).
However, despite those seemingly negative qualities, she is very sympathetic, caring and helpful. When someone is feeling down or depressed, she tries her hardest to give them the support that they need. Even a shoulder to cry on, if that's what it takes to get them smiling again.
Biggest Fear: She has a fear of dying a 'nobody'. L'Arachel wants to be well-known, wants to be famous, and wants to be remembered as a hero once she dies. Not being able to banish evil from the world is another fear too.
Powers: In the Fire Emblem universe, there are three classes of magic: Anima (nature), Dark and Light. L'Arachel, obviously, falls into the last category. Spell books (attack) and staves (healing) are used to cast magic. Without her magic, L'Arachel is otherwise defenseless. Well, she can fight with her staff: smack you in the face, but that's it really.

Third Person:
A…weird taste was in her mouth. Something L’Arachel couldn’t quite pinpoint exactly. She turned over in her bed; eyes still closed, and yawned. A dull light was flooding her room, so it was probably early in the morning. Getting up now would probably be the best thing to do, but…well, Rausten wasn’t going to drown in flames or blow-up if their princess took a few more minutes to sleep, right?
There was some scratching at her door which, at first, the green-haired princess just ignored. But it grew more persistent with every passing second and, in turn, L’Arachel was getting more and more angry. Finally, with a growl, she ripped the sheets away, opened her eyes and…
Gasped.
Her bed had a large, purple curtain drawn around it, and this bed didn’t. And…this room…was so small! This place…this place…
“This isn’t Rausten Court!" She screeched, scrambling onto her knees. L’Arachel quickly scanned the room with wide, green eyes. Her breathing quickened and her beat faster. She brought a closed fist to her chest, and she took in a deep breath. Calm down, L’Arachel. There a perfectly good explanation for this! Obviously, I've been kidnapped!
Eyes narrowed, she glanced at the door. The scratching had stopped, but…
The door handle was turning.
…Now the door was opening…
"Show yourself, you kidnappers! And face the righteous wrath of L'Arachel, battling princess of Rausten!"
First Person:
[Accidental voice…or maybe not. Who knows with L’Arachel]
[L’Arachel’s voice is so loud and demanding, if she was in a large auditorium full of people, she wouldn’t even need a megaphone for them to hear her]
There are demons here! Foul beasts that must be taken care of! A campaign should be in order to vanquish these demons! I say, if any of you are willing and strong, come and seek me out; and if you don’t know what I look like… beauty and grace, gorgeous green hair, an air of elegance around them…yes, you’d be blind if you couldn’t make me out!
Notes: Fire Emblem is a game series based during the middle ages. So...many of the technology here, L'Arachel has never seen, and probably wouldn't have experienced for...way after she'd died. She pretty sharp, though, so she'll probably learn how to use them with some success. And, uh, after many many "trial and error"s.
