[Action - 629 Topper Street]

[Kotetsu groggily opens his eyes and begins to stretch. Nothing out of the ordinary here...that is until he realizes he isn't in his bed and there's a strange woman lying next to him. Nope, not something that happens to him on a regular basis. He'll spend a few minutes frantically running around the house, searching for ( Read more... )

Wish it was a dream, but that's getting very unlikely by the minute.

Calm down, buddy. You're not the only one who wants to go home.

Then how do you explain how I got here?! I'm 100% sure I fell asleep in my own bed last night!

[He pauses for a moment.]

Wait a sec...there are others here? Besides you, I mean. Eh, who are you anyway?

So am I! By all means, I was supposed to be sleeping in today!

Apparently, the guys behind this have been doing this for a while and with a LOT of other people. The way some guy explained it seemed to imply that there's some kind of - of magic involved here. Crazy, huh?

[he sucks in air, having rushed to get that all out.]

I'm Kaz. Kazuhira Miller. I just got here, too.

Oh, you don't say! I'm supposed to be resigning today. Looks like that's not happening.

Magic? Do you mean their powers? [He laughs softly.]

My name is...

[He hesitates for a moment, trying to decide if he should give away his identity. But his mask is MIA and there's not much else around to hide it...] My name's Kotetsu Kaburagi!

Enh, you'd be surprised how good a job they're doing around here...

[There's an unamused laugh from the other end of the line.]

You're in a town called Mayfield. Are you familiar with 1950s America? It's like that. Except it's incredibly awful. We're all trapped here, and so are you.

But aren't kidnappings usually more...unwelcoming? The house I'm in right now is pretty nice. It's just not where I'm supposed to be, that's all!

Hmm, Mayfield...I can't say I've heard of this "America", but the 1950s were more than 20 years ago-

[Then he stops talking suddenly.]

Wait, trapped? What are you talkin' about?! This has to be a misunderstanding!

They've taken you away from where you belong, and put you somewhere awful, I'd say that's a pretty good job!

Don't let all the little houses and nice streets and friendly faces fool you. They're there to fool you. To throw you off! To lull you into a false sense of security! And then BAM you are drinking poisoned milk and having your small intesti...!

[Wait, wait, breathe Heinz, breathe. That's a bit much.]

Excuse me.

We are trapped. This town is sealed off. There is no escaping. You can test for yourself, if you'd like. I'd understand if you'd want to.

[A strangled noise escapes his throat at the mention of poisoned milk.]

Oh, um...that's...good to know, I guess!

So is there a reason why we're trapped here? Is this a setup? [He stops to think.] Am I supposed to play along with this? IS THIS SOMETHING FOR HERO TV THAT I WASN'T TOLD ABOUT?!

Ah... please allow me to explain. It'll be a bit long, however, and the situation is rather difficult as well, so please try to keep an open mind. First of all, this is not a dream.

Not a dream, eh?

[He'a dying to ask tons of questions right now, but he shuts up so the voice on the other line is able to explain fully.]

As difficult as it is to believe... yes. Simply put, we have all been kidnapped and placed here against our will. Taken from our worlds, to be precise, and placed into this town in a manner that makes it appear as though we have always lived here.

[So this explains the whole deal with this new house of his.]

Is this a punishment, or just random kidnappings? There's gotta be some motive behind this, huh?

Well since you picked up, then yeah! [He grumbles into the receiver.]

I don't know who you are, though. I feel like I don't know anything right now.

Yeah, I feel like that a lot. But it is okay! Because that feeling will go away. Probably.

Uh...oh yeah! Welcome to the Blue base. Or um...Maymilk...Milkfield--? Oh! Welcome to Mayfield! It is a place that is not where we were before.

That feeling better go away! I sure don't like it.

So where exactly is this place? It looks nothing like where I'm supposed to be.

[ She's on her way home when she finds a hopscotch pattern drawn in chalk on the sidewalk. It looks fun, so she follows the pattern as she hops across. Wow Taiwan you are like eighteen you shouldn't be doing this... When she looks up, she spots Kotetsu, whom she greets with a smile. ]

Ah, you're not a drone. Hi!

[He notices the girl playing hopscotch and guardedly marches closer, resisting the urge to join in because let's face it, he's kind of a huge man child. He then gives her a small smile in return.]

Hey there! It's nice to run into someone who's a non-drone...not-drone...augh, person who isn't a drone!

Hahaha! You can call me Taiwan, mister. I haven't seen you around before! Are you new? The town said I was supposed to greet new people, you know.

Nice to meet you, Taiwan. My name's Kotetsu. And yeah, I've been here since this morning.

Greeting the newbies? That's very kind of you! I'm sure everyone here is reacting differently to this. How long have you been here?
